Sartingle Bhadarwah, Bella XI Doda emerge victorious

BHADARWAH, June 9: Thrashing their respective rivals in one-sided contests by big margins, Sartingle Cricket Club Bhadarwah and Bella XI Doda advanced into the next round of the ongoing 2nd Edition of Champions Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah, under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) and Youth Combined Cricket Club Bhadarwah at Degree College Ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match, Sartingle Club crushed Halliyan Cricket Club Bhadarwah by  a huge margin of 123 runs in a one-sided affair. Batting first, Sartingle Club scored a mammoth total of 198 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing just 2 wickets in the process. Rakesh played a brilliant innings of 87 runs, studded with 11 boundaries and 3 massive sixes, while Arif contributed valuable 66 runs with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. For Halliyan Club, Vicky and Arif claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Halliyan Club collapsed at a meagre total of 75 runs in 12 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 123 runs. Toheed was the only batsman who crossed the double figure mark, scoring 13 runs. Arif was the pick of the bowlers for Sartingle Club, scalping 4 important wickets, while Umar bagged 3 wickets and Danish claimed 2. Rakesh was declared Reliance man of the match for his extraordinary batting display.
In another match, Bella XI Doda drubbed Youth Red Bhadarwah by a big margin of 85 runs in an easy contest. Bating first, Bella XI scored a decent total of 145 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Rubani (37) and Imran 33 were the main contributors. For Youth Red Club, Usman bagged 4 important wickets, while Arij took 2 wickets.
In reply, Youth Red Bhadarwah bundled out for a paltry total of 60 runs in 9 overs, thus lost the match by 85 runs. Saqib Khan and Arif scored 11 and 10 runs respectively. For Bella XI Doda, Altaf claimed hat-trick, while Adil and Majid took 2 wickets each. For his superb bowling show, Altaf was declared man of the match.
The match was officiated by Abrar Ganai and Hinan as umpires, while Saqib was the scorer.
