JAMMU, Jan 31: Outplaying Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC), Srinagar by 18 runs in the summit clash, Sarveshwar Cricket Club won the title trophy of the 3rd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Manav Gupta, Managing Director I Tec was the chief guest on the occasion, while Rakesh Kumar, Vikrant Taggar and Arun Dogra were the guests of honour.
The Tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Shashi Paul, organizing secretary.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Sarveshwar CC scored 135 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Gourav Bhatti was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Vishal and Karan contributed 28 and 20 runs respectively. For RCC Srinagar, Kulvinder Singh was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Dilbagh Singh and Satish claimed one wicket each.
In reply, RCC scored 117 runs in the allotted overs, thus lostthe match by 18 runs. Harsh top scored with 27 runs, while Jatin and Suryansh Raina contributed 12 runs each. Amandeep Singh was the wrecker-in-chief for Sarveshwar Club, who took 4 important wickets, while Raman Dutta bagged 2 and Vishal claimed one. Raman Dutta was declared man of the series, Amandeep was adjudged man of the match, Gourav Bhatti and Akash Choudhary were declared as best batsman and best bowler respectively. Young Aarav Mahajan was named best budding cricketer of the Tournament.
