JAMMU, Dec 9: Sarvodaya Public School, Santra Morh, Pouni Chak Jammu celebrated its Annual Day with great pomp and show here today.
On the occasion, Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest, while Satpal Karloopia and Surinder Choudhary were the guests of honour. Trustee of the school Neelam Sharma, Subash Chander Sharma, and the Chairperson of the school Radhika were also present.
The programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by the welcome speech of the school captain Mansi Sharma.
The programme highlights were Saraswati Vandana, Bhangra and Taekwondo. Tiny tots of Nursery class made a beautiful presentation by highlighting the culture of different States.
“Mile Sur Mera Tumhara” was a religious item presenting unity in diversity while as “Hai Preet Jahan Ki Reet Sadha” was a patriotic item depicting the love and the sacrifice of soldiers for the country.
School principal Deepika Rajput while presenting the annual report highlighted the vision statement of the school for the next 5 years.
A very momentous announcement was made in which the school proposed to provide scholarships and free education to all students scoring 99 per cent in class 8th and 10th board examination.
Meritorious students in various classes and extra co-curricular activities were awarded by the chief guest.
Purnima Sharma in her address praised the efforts of the school management in providing wholesome education at very affordable rates. He also commended the proposal for free education to the meritorious students.
The Activity Incharge read out the prize list and vote of thanks was presented by the Coordinator of the school Suman Bala.
