JAMMU, July 15: Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Assembly Segment, Sat Sharma (CA) dedicated a 250 KVA transformer to residents of Green Enclave area of Ward 24. Sharma was accompanied by a large number of people including hundreds of residents of the area and political activists.
Pertinent to mention, a deputation led by district vice president, BJP Urvashi Gupta and many youth hailing from the area met the former MLA some days back and demanded a separate transformer so that problem of voltage fluctuation and frequent power cuts could be avoided in Green Enclave area.
The works for setting up of new station was taken up under the supervision of PDD (Power Development Department) at an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh approximately and more than thousand residents will be benefited from the same.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was indeed a long pending demand of the locals and the same has been met so that a major relief could be provided to the inhabitants in this scorching Summer as earlier the load was on one transformer only and now another transformer has been installed to overcome the problem of low voltage and frequent power cuts, he added.
He said BJP is committed to work for masses and believes in agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas”. He also appreciated the efforts of PDD for looking into the problems of people on priority and also said that other areas in Jammu West where power problem persists are also kept on priority and with the help of Department, their problems will also be solved.
The inhabitants of the Ward complimented Sat Sharma for his pro active approach and stated that Ward 24 has been equipped with all modern infra with the help of former MLA. They also complimented him for solving their problems and expected that BJP leader will keep working with the same pace to serve the masses of Jammu West Assembly Segment.
Bala Gupta, Sudhir Gupta, Babli Devi, Ashwani Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Raghu Sharma, Munish Raja, Rajesh Mehta, Sumanyu Gupta, Arvind, Rishav Hindu, Karan Phull, Nitu, Mohinder Gupta, Suresh Sharma, Aman Sharma, Sunny, Rohit Raina, Sushil Sharma and several others also accompanied former MLA during his visit in the area.
