JAMMU, Nov 20: Sat Sharma, MLA, Jammu West today inaugurated the new premises of J&K Grameen Bank Bohri Patta, Jammu in presence of R.K Chhibber Chairman JKGB, Romesh Vaid, General Manager JKGB, Regional Manager, Jammu, K.L Sharma, officials of the bank and valuable customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma applauded the role played by J&K Grameen Bank in providing various financial services of the people of J&K. He also interacted with staff members and customers of the branch. He appreciated the tremendous efforts of the bank towards financial inclusion and customer awareness. He also congratulated the bank for the successful implementation of ongoing social security schemes of the present Government.
Chairman R.K Chhibber also spoke on the occasion and informed that J&K Grameen Bank has 217 branches in the State. He spoke about the ongoing J&K Grameen Bank Festival Bonanza – 2017 with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest of 0.5% for two wheeler loans for females, No processing charges on car, housing & two wheeler loans. He added that the interest rates on loans & advances in JKGB are lowest amongst other banks. A number of new schemes are introduced by the bank for financing under Agriculture/ Horticulture and setting up of industries in J&K State. Bank has already financed various industrial units in SIDCO Complex, Samba.
During the interaction, he has informed that JKGB is successfully conducting State wide campaign regarding GoI’s social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY & PMSBY and claims 100 percent settlement in PMJJBY & PMSBY. He also said that moving in trend with modern banking, bank is offering 24X7 cashless services of mobile banking without Internet. Rupay Kisan & Debit cards and initiated process of deployment of PoS machines besides offering NEFT/RTGS, CTS, NACH-ECS, DBTL, PFMS & WUMT services. Bank is about to introduce Micro ATMs, AePS and KYC.
During the event, the lump sum amount of Rs. 2 lakh regarding PMJJBY claim is also handed over to the nominee of the insurer, Smt. Rimpy Devi by the chief guest.
Urging people to take full advantage of bank’s products and services, Chairman sought their support & cooperation in realizing the bank’s vision to take the entire population of J&K to new heights of equitable growth and prosperity.
