Sat tours Ward 28, listens grievances of people

JAMMU, Nov 25: Former Minister and Ex-MLA, Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) toured Ward 28 of Jammu West Assembly segment and visited Gurha, Qasim Nagar, Rajput Mohalla and other adjoining areas of the ward and interacted with hundreds of inhabitants there.
Earlier a deputation hailing from the Ward met the former MLA and asked him to conduct an extensive tour in the area in order to ascertain the problems faced by the residents. Sharma was accompanied by State additional treasurer, BJP Prem Gupta, Mandal vice president, Ravi Sharma and many others.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a fruitful tour was conducted in the Ward in which maximum households participated and highlighted their problems. He said the main problem in the area was the covering of a deep drain (Nullah) which is a long pending demand for which concerned authorities have been asked that within days the tendering process be started so that a proper infra pertaining to cleanliness in the Ward can be provided.
He also stated that inhabitants also demanded construction of lanes near Arya Samaj and Rajput Mohalla some time back for which the tender has been floated by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and its work will also be taken up in hand soon so that basic amenities are provided to the residents at their doorsteps.
He stated that to achieve the mission of “Swach Bharat”, it is the duty of every citizen to contribute some of its time to work for this noble cause and he also appealed everyone to come forward in achieving this goal. “Swach Bharat Hoga toh Swasth Bharat Hoga”, he added.
Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Naresh Sharma, Ravinder Singh Jyoti, Rajinder Gupta, Hunny Singh, Narinder Sharma, Rakesh Dogra, Sanjay Dogra, Ravi Dogra, Ravi Shakar, Rakesh Bhagat, Bal Kandhari, Master Mahesh, Sunny Amla, Rakesh Sharma, Sahil Raina and several others were also present.
