JAMMU, Aug 17: Former Minister, Sat Sharma (CA) visited Kamla Palace road area of the Jammu West Assembly segment to have at and on spot study of the problems of adjoining localities there.
He was accompanied by State secretary and Corporator Ward 41, Sanjay Baru, Corporator Ward 40, Neelam Nargotra, UEED and PDD officials, local residents and political activists of the area. A deputation hailing from the area met the former MLA and apprised him of the problems faced by the residents.
Residents while interacting with Sharma demanded that the Kamla Palace road needs immediate Blacktopping.
Sharma said that project worth Rs 2.50 crore for construction of deep drain from Akhnoor road to Luthra School was sanctioned and completed during his tenure as MLA.
He stated that the works for the Blacktopping of the said road has also been sanctioned and its work will be taken up in hand in coming days in order to avoid public distress. He also stated that once the electric poles are shifted backwards and the works for construction of drain is completed on the road, the Blacktopping works will be taken up in hand.
Sanjay Baru and Neelam Nargotra complimented the former Minister for his pro active approach and stated that both wards have been equipped with all modern infra and that is with the help of former MLA who is still working 24X7 in order to provide best possible services to masses. They stated that pending works in the Ward are kept on priority and will be taken up in coming days. They also stated that Jammu West has been developed to its fullest and pending works will also be taken in some time to avoid public distress. The pace of development in Jammu West shows that constituency progressed a lot in last five years and has reached to the mark of a Model Constituency.
