JAMMU, Oct 4: Satchel, Centre for promotion of Music, Art and languages in colaboration with Gandhi, Peace Foundation organized a 3-day workshop on the topic, “Gandhi’s Concept of Integrated Personality of an Individual through Education”, here.
The title of the workshop was suggested by eminent educationist, Prof Phoola Chowdhary.
The workshop began with Sarswati Vandana followed by recitation of Bhagwat Geeta by Surma Devi, Anita, Punam Anuragi, Sangeeta and Nisha.
In the first session, a symposium was held on the topic of the workshop, in which the speakers included Muskan Mehra, Anshu Bhat, Parth Gupta, Taruna Jagotra and Khushi Rajput. The session was supervised by Vandhna Bhagat and Komal Gupta.
The next session included pictorial presentation by Surbhi Marhata, Akshit Singh and Kajal Raina. The session also included group discussion titled ‘Role of Students in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and the participants included Shilpa Bali, Riya Koul and Sumit.
Patron of Satchel, R K Mahaldar threw light on Gandhi Ji’s Philosophy and its relevance in modern era.
Sandhya Pandita, student of Camp School Muthi coordinated the proceedings of the programme.
Among other presnt on the occasion were Anupma Kaushal, Simme Mehra, Vishal Bhat and Princy Raina, while the vote of thenks was presented by Sarita Raina.
