JAMMU, Apr 7: The sports complexes of KC Public School (KCPS) and KC Sports Club (KCSC) offer a complete range of world-class indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including Cricket, Football, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Squash and Swimming. Today, two new state-of-the-art sports facilities were added when Satish Sharma, Cabinet Minister, inaugurated four Pickleball courts at KCPS and one outdoor Box Cricket arena at KCSC.
Pickleball and Box Cricket have rapidly gained popularity worldwide due to their space efficiency, particularly in large cities where space is limited. The inauguration ceremonies at both venues were attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Anil Goswami, Ex Home Secretary, Government of India. Hundreds of sports enthusiasts, students, and staff from both KCPS and KCSC attended the events, along with students and staff from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, who are in Jammu on a cultural exchange visit to KCPS.
After the inauguration, Satish Sharma actively participated in both new sports, showcasing his enthusiasm for the facilities. He congratulated Raju Chowdhary, Chairman of KCPS; Arti Chowdhary, Managing Director of KCPS; and Arjun Chowdhary, Managing Partner of KCSC for creating and maintaining sports infrastructure of international standards. This initiative, he noted, offers the youth of Jammu and Kashmir opportunities to excel in sports and channel their energies positively.
AK Mishra, Principal of KCPS, expressed his gratitude to the Minister for inaugurating the facilities and encouraging young sportspersons.
