Sir,
Alarming population growth has given birth to multiple social and economical bottlenecks in over all development and progress of the country. Malnutrition and poor education have virtually weakened the nation. The orthodox feelings to be necessarily blessed with a son to have salvation from this mundane existence still prevail in the society.
Birth of a daughter is commonly not enjoyed whereas that of a son becomes a cause of festivities. So to overcome the social scenario, more incentives are needed to be extended especially to mothers to give birth to a female child. Right from education to marriage all expenditures incurred on a girl need to met by the Govt to boost a phenomenon of encouragement for such children. Lowering birth rate of girl child perhaps is due to social implications in terms of dowry etc. Any measure in this direction would be inadequate if population balance requires to be maintained.
Yours etc…
