JAMMU, May 4: A meeting of NGO (Non Government Organization) ‘Save’ was held at Sainik Colony under the chairpersonship of Rumpy Madaan in which social and animal relate issues were discussed threadbare with special focuson how to water the animals and birds in summer days.
The meeting decided to arrange customised pots for water which would be used for stray animals and birds in scorching heat which these animals and birds have to face during forthcoming summer months. These pots would be distributed within Municipal limits of Jammu covering all the 69 wards in the first phase.
The meeting decided that students of various colleges and schools would be sensitized and motivated about animal rights and protection in general and further motivating them to use their skills to make handmade pots which they can keep in their own respective localities to help thirsty animals and birds so that they can quench their thirst.
The Save NGO issued an appeal to general public to come on this platform and join like-minded people and lend their helping hands to alleviate sufferings of stray animals and birds.
