SAMBA, Sept 29: To celebrate the 106th Birth Anniv-ersary of Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Federation (SBSF) organized a function at Ramgarh here today under the leadership of Rinku Choudhary, District president of the Federation.
Hundreds of youths, prominent people of the area and children participated and paid rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
SBSF chairman, Manjeet Singh Jatt and Avtar Singh Khalsa were the chief guests while Jarnail Singh Khalsa, Yashpal Sharma, Anant Ram Choudhary and Shami Slathia were the guests of honour.
On the occasion, several students of Guru Nanak Dev Public School Ramgarh delivered speeches on the life of Bhagat Singh and threw light on the achievements of great freedom fighter.
Local singer, Pamma also sung several songs on history of Bhagat Singh and other freedom fighters. Earlier, a rally was also organised in the Ramgarh Bazar.
Manjeet Singh Jatt, in his speech, urged the youth to come forward to fight the social evils to fulfill the dreams of Bhagat Singh.
