JAMMU, Sept 4: In a writ petition filed by Zubair Ahmed Mir and others challenging the selection of District and Sessions Judges by J&K High Court, a bench of Supreme Court comprising Justice Aftab Alam and Justice Ranjana Parkash Desai issued notice to the respondents.
After hearing Senior Advocates Soli J Sorabji and P P Rao assisted by Advocates Harshivir Pratap Singh, B P Gupta and Naresh Kumar issued notice to the respondents and directed that during the pendency of the writ petition any appointment including those made pursuant to deviation of quota, if any, shall be subject to the final result of this case.
Supreme Court further directed its Registry to place this matter after completion of service.
