SCC beats Sports Veterans by 68 runs, levels series

JAMMU, Nov 7: Singh Cricket Club (SCC) drubbed Jammu Sports Veterans by the big margin of 68 runs in the ongoing Joginder Memorial Cricket Series, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor and levelled the series-1-1, near here today.
The SCC won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, they scored 182 runs by losing 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sny Mahi made highest 89 runs, while Bishan Kumar and Vinod Kumar contributed 28 and 17 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Jagdev Singh clinched 2 wickets, while Nitin, Raman, Arun & Mukesh Sharma shared 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, Jammu Sports Veterans bundled out at 114 and lost the match by 68 runs. Arun made 25 runs, whereas Vikrant & Raman contributed 13 runs each and Vinayak scored 12 runs. From the bowling side, SS Langeh and Bishan Kumar shared 2 wickets each, whereas Rakesh, Raj Singh, Ajay Sharma, Manav Mehta and Sny Mahi shared 1 wicket each.
Sny Mahi was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bat and ball. Abhitash Sharma and Stiphen Sotra were umpires while Dev Bhagel acted as scorer.
The 3-Match Series is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor in collaboration with Jammu Sports under the overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor).
