JAMMU, Dec 30: Since its establishment, the Saffron Cricket Club (SCC) today played 100th match wherein it defeated Shuhul Knight Riders (SKR) by two wickets in the ongoing KPL Cup, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here.
The SKR won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the SKR scored 75 runs on the loss of all wickets with one over left from stipulated 20 overs. Sandeep made highest score for his team with 19 runs, while HL Ganjoo, Rinku and Bhavk contributed 13, 10 and 17 runs respectively. For SCC, Arun took four wickets, while Deepak and Shivam bagged two wickets each and Sarthak Khoda and Sonu clinched one wicket apiece.
In reply, the SCC chased the target by losing eight wickets in nine overs. Shiv made unbeaten 27 runs while Deepak Kaul, Sonu and Happy contributed 20, 12 and 4 runs respectively. For SKR, Bhavk bagged three wickets, whereas Chandji clinched two wickets and Sandeep one wicket.
Arun was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling.
