SCC thrashes KCA in inaugural match of U-19 T-20 series

JAMMU, July 3: Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor beat Krishna Cricket Academy (KCA) Khour in the inaugural match of the Under-19 T-20 series which commenced at Akhnoor, here today.
Being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, the three-match series was inaugurated by Sham Singh Langeh (Zonal Head, All India Divyang Cricket Control Board of India).
The inaugural match of the Series was played between SCC Akhnoor and KCA Khour at the playground of Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor. After winning the toss and batting first, SCC scored 146/8 in 20 overs. Karan Gupta made 36 runs, Mohit Sharma 23, Taruver Sharma 22 and Manik Verma contributed 14 runs. For KCA, Vansh, Sumit and Yuvraj shared 2 wickets each while Ankush got 1 wicket.
While chasing, KCA Khour collapsed at 86/10 in 16 overs and thus lost the match to SCC Akhnoor. For KCA, Harsh scored 15 runs while Sumit Sharma and Arjun added 13 and 26 runs, respectively. For SCC, Manik, Mohit and Vikas shared 2 wickets each whereas Karan and Harsh scalped 1 wicket each.
For his brilliant performance with ball as well as bat, Karan Gupta of SCC Akhnoor was declared as man of the match.
Deepu was the scorer while Rahul and Mohit were umpires for the match.
