SCCA beats RSB by 4 runs in T20 match

JAMMU, Nov 10: The U-17 T20 series between Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor and Rising Stars Bishnah continued with a thrilling second match held at Govt Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor. Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor (SCCA) registered a narrow victory over Rising Stars Bishnah (RSB) by just 4 runs, gaining a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
After winning the toss, Singh Cricket Club chose to bat first, posting a total of 120/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Jatin Mahi led the batting effort with 41 runs off 42 balls, while Anmol Kumar added a quickfire 24 off 13 balls. Vikas Sharma also contributed a rapid 12 runs off 6 balls. Rising Stars Bishnah’s Arush Saini impressed with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, and Sourav took an additional wicket, helping to restrict Singh Cricket Club’s score.
In response, Rising Stars Bishnah put up a determined chase but ultimately fell short, scoring 116/8. Virat Singh scored 26 off 49 balls, and Sourav chipped in with 23 off 21 balls. Singh Cricket Club’s bowling attack, led by Sujal Sharma, Vikas Sharma, and Sanyam Malhotra with 2 wickets each, kept Rising Stars under pressure. For their performances, Jatin Mahi and Vikas Sharma were awarded joint Men of the Match.
DySP KD Bhagat, who inaugurated the series, encouraged young cricketers to remain active in sports and also praised the organizers.
