JAMMU, Oct 15: To explore and showcase the intellectual and creative talent of students from ten districts of Jammu Division, the State Council of Educational Research and Training, (SCERT), Jammu division hosted the Divisional level National Science Drama competition here today.
The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal Secretary School Education Department Suresh Kumar Gupta.
The competition revolved around the central theme, “Science and Technology for the benefits of mankind”, with sub themes such as Global water crisis, AI and society, Modern technology for disaster management, health and hygiene and climate change and its impact.
H. R. Pakhroo, Joint Director Central Move and Prof. Dr. Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director JKSCERT, Jammu division declared the event open and formally inaugurated the programme.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, JKSCERT as Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahnas lauded Jammu division for the successful organisation of the event conducted under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
He felicitated all the winners and encouraged the participants to be the part of more such programmes.
Medals, trophies and certificates were presented to the winning teams, celebrating their exceptional talent in the field of drama and scientific creativity.
The first place was awarded to the team from distt Kathua, second place was bagged by distt. Jammu and the third place went to the team of distt. Reasi.
In addition to the team awards, certificates were given to honour individual excellence.
For their remarkable performances, best director award went to Shiv Nandan of Kathua, best actor award was bagged by Vansh Kumar from Kathua, best actress award was given to Sunakshi Devi from Reasi and the award in the best script writer category was presented to Shashi Rani from Kathua.
Besides this, members of organising team were also presented certificates for best execution of the programme.
The programme was meticulously coordinated by Neeraj Jamwal, who ensured the seamless execution of all the activities, while Lakshmi Puri, the technical coordinator, handled the technical aspects and also moderated the entire event with finesse.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the coordinator.
