School functioning under open sky, Inqlabi writes to authorities

JAMMU, Mar 11: For the alleged no necessary infrastructure at Government Middle School Abdullah Basti near AIIM Hospital, Samba, Ch. Rashid Azam Inqlabi-a retired officer has written to Government of India (GoI) and Secretary School Education J&K.
Inqlabi claimed that the School is working under the sky for the last four years and has no building while it has the student strength of more than 120 with staff of five teachers, who too face hardship in running the institute without a buildings, drinking water and toilet facility, which is a clear violation of the affidavit filed by the Chief Secretary and Secretary School Education J&K in the Supreme Court for providing necessary infrastructure to schools of J&K.
The Supreme Court in a Writ Petition (Civil) no. 631 of 2004 titled Environment & Consumer has directed all States and Union Territories to provide necessary facilities like Reading Rooms and toilet facility to all the schools across India.
Inqlabi wrote to Santosh Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary (SS-I) GoI; Chief Secretary J&K and Commissioner Secretary School Education, J&K to implement the direction of Supreme Court and provide necessary facilities to school going children of Middle School Abdullah Basti and other schools having no facilities or face the Contempt of the Court.
