Science Gadget programme concludes

Leh, July 25: The 5-day Science Gadget Programme concluded in Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh yesterday organized by Star Club Social Welfare society in collaboration with Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh. As many as 55 students from 8 different schools participated in the program.
The Deputy Commissioner, Leh Simrandeep Singh who was the chief guest on the occasion urged upon the students to nurture scientific temperament to capably cope up with the fast changing world’s scenario. DC expressed happiness over the outstanding performance of the students of Govt. schools during this 5 days programme and urged them to keep similar spirit with innovative mind. Simrandeep also suggested the students to visit 45MW Alchi Hydel Project and make them familiar with the scientific and technological inventive. Later DC distributed trophies and prizes to winners and other participant teams.
Principal Lamdon Model Hr. Sec School, Ishey Tondup in his speech termed the programme as a highly beneficial and productive for the students in enlightening themselves with scientific knowledge and developing technological skills. He urged for organizing such programmes in more number in order to benefit more and more students of Ladakh region.
During the 5 days program, various science gadget programs like Science project, essay writing competition, Science dramas, science quiz , painting competition, cartoon competition, and tradition folk songs competition were held.
