JAMMU, Oct 13: State Central Labour Union, Jammu & Kashmir, today extended support to the employees of Contributory Provident Fund Office and urged the Government to fill up vacant vacancies in Provident Fund Offices in Jammu province.
In a statement, SCLU president Nar Singh said that Government had opened offices in districts for better services to its subscribers, but required manpower was not provided in these district offices and present number of staff was unable to provide timely settlement of cases with the result that workers/subscribers were facing too much hardship due to heavy workload. He demanded that DPC should be conducted at the earliest so that deserving employees may get their due promotions.
He also appealed the Government to consider their genuine grievances at an earliest in large interest of poor subscribers those are in urgent need of money by withdrawal and advances.
It is pertinent to mention here that one official is working on more than two positions in the PF offices thus creating anarchy.
