POONCH, Dec 14: A scooty rider was killed when an unknown vehicle hit him in Arai Katha area of Mandi in Poonch today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when he was returning to his home after work on scooty. An unknown vehicle hit him, causing serious injuries. A police team reached the spot and shifted him to Sub District Hospital Mandi, where doctors declared him as dead. After performing legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for last rites.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Rashid, son of Mohd Din, a resident of Loran in Tehsil Mandi. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
