Scouts & Guides camp concludes

JAMMU, Aug 3: Three-day long Scouts and Guides camp organised by Army Public School, Jammu Cantt concluded today.
In the camp, 65 scouts and 20 guides participated in various activities of the workshop including “Pravesh Sopan” and “Pratham Sopan”.
In Pravesh Sopan, students of class VI participated and brief history of scouting and guiding, promise and law of scout/guide, sign, salute, left hand shake and motto of scout/guide were given to them.
The cadets were explained about the parts of scout guide uniform, scout/guide badge, world scout badge, world guide badge, National Flag and world scout/guide Flag.
The trainers for Pravesh Sopan were Sehaj Singh, State Training Commissioner and RP Kotwal, Division Scouts Organizing commissioner.
The activities of Pratham Sopan were for the students of Class VII, which included patrol system, BP’s six exercises, wood craft signs, whipping, knots, first aid, good turn and handicraft.
On the concluding day, all the cadets performed various activities under the supervision of Dr Gurcharan Singh, Head Quarter Commissioner and Manjeet Kaur, Guide Captain.
