SRINAGAR, Oct 11: Government today re-constituted Screening Committee to consider and assess the suitability of eligible officers for promotion to various scales of IAS.
Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal is the Chairman of the Committee while as Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, Principal Secretary, Finance Department and B R Sharma, Principal Secretary, Home Department are its members.
The Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department, will attend the meetings of the Committee as a special invitee.
Meanwhile, Government today accorded sanction to the appointment of Rifat Arif, a member of J&K Social Welfare (Gazetted) Service, to the Time Scale of J&K Administrative Service with effect from September 25, 2008 on notional basis and from February 2, 2011 on regular basis.
Similarly, A K Razdan, Collector, 220 KV Power Development Department has been appointed by promotion to the Time Scale of KAS on notional basis with effect from September 23, 1997— from the date when officers junior to him in J&K CD&NES (G) Service were appointed to the Time Scale of KAS and from June 27, 2006 on regular basis when he was appointed on adhoc basis.
