Second round matches of Senior Snooker to begin today

JAMMU, Sept 28: The first round matches of the Senior Snooker concluded today and the matches of the second round of the same in the ongoing 22nd Jammu District Open Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship 2012, organized by the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, would begin at Billiards Hall in MA Stadium from tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Abhimanyu Arora drubbed Aryaman Chowdhary (3-0) by (67-22, 78-27, 80-38) in an easy contest, while Vishal Mahajan prevailed upon Varun Gupta in a close contest (3-2) by (47-62, 47-43, 43-78, 63-57, 85-40).
Meanwhile, Sachin Bamba also got better of Amardeep Singh with the same margin of 3-2 by ( 55-23, 56-18, 20-53, 67-60, 71-50) and Sanjay Sharma defeated Nikhil Verma with the same margin of 3-2 by (29-47, 58-47, 68-33, 61-27, 62-21)
In other matches, Ishan chowdhary toppled Shubham Badyal 3-1 by (56-15, 60-27, 32-64, 74-56),
Ravi Sharma scripted a narrow win over Aditya Sharma 3-2 by (63-07, 62-31, 70-77, 35-66, 53-23) and Mukesh Kapahi outplayed Umar Wani 3-1 by (36-55, 74-13, 65-18, 89-39).
According to the organizers, the second round matches would be played tomorrow at the same venue.
