SRINAGAR, July 6: Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull convened a meeting of all managers and incharges in her office chamber at Bakshi Stadium, here today to review the plan and preparations of various sports activities under ‘My Youth My Pride’ for the remaining part of the current year.
In her inaugural remarks, the Secretary Sports Council sought feedback from all present in the meeting to further the scope of activities in the Kashmir division. Nuzhat Gull also expressed her gratitude to the Government for lending all possible help to the Sports Council for providing the facilities to the cricketers.
While interacting with a Kashmir based staff, the Secretary Sports Council said that in the last few years the scenario of sports in J&K has undergone tremendous transformation and has changed for good.
Nuzhat Gull applauded the staff for giving their best shot against all the odds and hoped for them to do well in this phase of the My Youth My Pride as well. Furthermore, Nuzhat Gull said that monitoring teams for the activities in all districts shall be formed and reports submitted on a daily basis.
She gave on spot directions for the distribution of equipment from the central store of Sports Council to all the districts and asked the concerned manager to keep her posted about the progress of distribution.
In a separate meeting with the Construction Division Kashmir, Secretary Sports Council sought the details of the infrastructural works and progress report of the ongoing projects.
While interacting with the staff from different districts of Kashmir division, Nuzhat Gull said that administration is committed to raise the sports standards and ensure inclusive growth of all. She further added that the sports programs closely focus on improving people’s ability to participate fully in the progressive sports and advised the staff to try percolate the programmes under special activities to each block in the division.
The Secretary Sports Council also gave on the spot directions to equip all the indoor halls with the required equipment.
