JAMMU, Dec 13: Secretary to Govt, Tourism Department, Er Farooq Ahmed Shah, flagged-off a contingent of 32 boys and girls, including manager and coach, Farooq Ahmed Bhat.
The contingent will represent J&K in the 7th Dragon Boat National Championship, being held at Guwahati, Assam from December 17 to December 19, 2015.
The event is being hosted by the Dragon Boat Federation of India. The event was attended by Director Tourism Kashmir, Mahmood Ahmed Shah, Director Tourism Jammu RK Varma, Secretary Social Welfare Board and Vice President J&K Dragon Boat Association, Aamir Ali and DySP PHQ Liyaqat Ahmed.
The team was trained by the J&K Dragon Boat Association and supported by J&K Tourism, J&K Bank and TCI Cements.
