LEH, Oct 20: Administrative Secretary, Technical Education and Skill Development Department UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar today visited the Government Polytechnic College, Leh and inspected the various ongoing works in the premises. He was accompanied by Principal Polytechnic College Leh, Talat, Under Secretary Technical Education Ashwani Hansa, OSD Dr. Stanzin Thakchos and staff of Government Polytechnic College Leh.
During the visit, the Secretary inspected the Multipurpose Hall, SMART Classroom, Computer Labs, Workshop, Civil Engineering Labs, Administrative Section, Library, newly constructed NSDI (Women) Building and College Hostel etc.
He stressed upon the Principal Polytechnic College to start demand oriented skills/trades to be introduced in the curriculum. Courses like Solar Architecture, Renewable Energy technician courses and services/ courses required by the Indian Army, PGCIL, NHPC, SECI, NIWE etc. should be introduced in the days to come.
Principal Polytechnic College has apprised the Secretary about various issues pertaining to infrastructure as well as academics, for which the Secretary has assured of resolving all the issues in a time bound manner.
