SRINAGAR, Jan 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Baseball Association (JKBA) is organising selection trials for both boys and girls for the upcoming 26th Junior National Baseball Championship scheduled to be held at Madhya Pradesh organised by the Madhya Pradesh Baseball Association under the auspices of Amateur Baseball Federation of India in February, 2016.
According to a handout issued here by the Association, the players born after 1999 are eligible for the trials. The trials will be held at Islamia College Srinagar on January 6, 2016 from 11am. Preference will be given to those who have already represented the J&K State at Sub-Junior or Junior National Baseball Championships and recently held 10th State Level Baseball Championship at Srinagar.
“All the Affiliated district units, Educational Institutions and Clubs of the Association have been asked to send best probables in the selection trials alongwith original DoB certificates, Eligibility certificates issued from concerned Institute, Domicile certificates and latest eight passport size photographs on the day of selection trials positively” informed Fida Hussain Fidvi, general secretary of J&K Baseball Association.
He further said that the selected players will have to undergo 10 days coaching camp prior to their participation in National Baseball Champi-onship under the supervision of Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, J&K State Sports Council.
