JAMMU, Oct 22: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Handball (Men) Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education at Jammu University Sports Stadium, here today.
The Teams reaching in the last four stage included Degree College Paloura, MAM College, SPMR College of Commerce and PG Department, University of Jammu.
Now in semifinal, Govt Degree College Paloura will take on MAM College and SPMR College of Commerce will face PG Department tomorrow.
Earlier, in today’s matches, Degree College Paloura outplayed GGM Science College by (13-4), MAM College drubbed Degree College Kathua by (17-9) and PG Department got walkover against GCET Jammu.
The matches were played under the kind supervision of Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
In women’s section, PG Department beat Govt College for Women Gandhi Nagar by (5-3) and made its way to final, while PG Department will take on Govt College for Women Parade Ground Jammu in the finals tomorrow.
The matches were officiated by Sudesh Kumar, Karun Magotra, Jyoti Sharma and Gourav Sharma.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Raj Kumar Bakshi, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, Jai Bharat, PD Singh, Sanjeev Jamwal and Nisha Sharma.
