JAMMU, Aug 21: With Niteshi, Rashmi, Poorvi and Pehushee sealing berth in the last four stage, the semifinals position has been cleared in Under-19 girls singles event of the ongoing selection trial matches for North Zone Badminton Championship at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the Under-19 girls quarterfinals, Niteshi got better of Shivangi (2-0), Rashmi prevailed over Swati (2-1), Poorvi outplayed Stuti (2-0) and Pehushee drubbed Anandita (2-1).
In men’s singles pre-quarterfinals, Manish Sharma defeated Sahil Verma, Nakul beat Nikhil, Shantul trounced Sunil Bakshi, Aman outclassed Vasu and Raghav Dogra topplewd Vikram Saini, while in Under-19 boys pre-quarterfinals singles, Raghav Dogra trounced Rutik Jandiyal, Puranjay Sharma defeated Nakul, Sarandeep Singh thrashed Devesh Singh, Aryan Nagpal outclassed Akshay Mahajan, Aesh Goswami defeated Shivam Sharma, Harsh Mahajan toppled Karan, Mohit Choudahry drubbed Naman Singh ashish beat Adam.
In Under-19 boys doubles quarterfinals, THE PAIR OF Mohit and Raghav lost to the duo of Naman and Ritik, Puranjay and Nakul got better of Sehdev and Vidhan, Harsh and Akshay defeated Aryan and Sarandeep and the pair of Savinay and Adam prevailed over the duo of Karan and Arjun.
