JAMMU, Feb 4: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing Jammu District Senior Hockey Tournament, being organised by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The teams which qualified for the semifinals included Hiranagar Hockey Club, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral, Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club and MBS Simbal Camp.
Now in the first semifinal to be played on February 6 at 2 pm, MBS Simbal Camp will take on Hiranagar Hockey Club, while in the second semifinal to be played on February 7 at 2 pm, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral will lock horns with Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club.
In today’s match, Deshmesh Club got better of MBS by four goals to three (4-3). The goal scorers for Deshmesh Club were Ravneet Singh (2 goals), Matinder Singh and Tony, while Jaspreet Singh, Pushpinder Singh and Prabjot Singh netted the goals for MBS Club.
Gurmeet Singh (S.E) was the chief guest on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Iqbal Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Satvir Singh, Joginder Singh, Karanjit Singh and JS Reen.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, Gurdial Singh and GS Bakshi.
