JAMMU, Feb 27: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing 20th Senior State Kabaddi Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association at Kabaddi Court, MA Stadium, here.
The quarterfinal matches were played in the presence of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, CEO J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association; Surinder Mohan, General Secretary; MS Baba, Senior Vice President of the Association; Anil Veer Ji, Joint Secretary; Sangram Singh, Treasurer; Anil Modi, Organizing Secretary and Jeet Singh, Senior Player of Kabaddi.
In quarterfinals of boys section, Kathua beat Udhampur by 25 points, Baramulla drubbed Bandipora by 22 points, Jammu beat Poonch by 23 points and Srinagar outplayed Pulwama, while in the women’s section, Jammu drubbed Samba by 21 points, Srinagar outclassed Ganderbal by 27 points, Kathua trounced Udhampur by 19 points and Baramulla thrashed Anantnag by 31 points.
Earlier, in men’s section, Srinagar beat Bandipora by 34 points, Baramulla drubbed Pulwama by 23 points, Ganderbal outplayed Budgam by 15 points, Kathua drubbed Samba by 23 points, Bandipora trounced Budgam by 7 points, Pulwama beat Anantnag by 3 points, Udhampur beat Rajouri by 9 points, Poonch defeated Samba by 28 points and Bandipora thrashed Ganderbal by 26 points.
