JAMMU, Nov 10: Talented Ashmeet and promising Jhanvi were among 4 peddlers to qualify for the sub junior girls semifinals, while Anant Rohmetra, Ansh Gupta, Sudikshan and Hanumant made it to the last four stage of the ongoing 36th Stag J&K State Table Tennis Championship, being organized by the Jammu ands Kashmir Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here.
In quarterfinals, Jhanvi prevailed over Shreya (11-6,11-4), Archita Kesar defeated Samridhi (11-7,11-50, Ashmeet trounced Iknoor (11-4,11-8) and Shreya beat Simran (11-6,11-5).
Earlier in the pre-quarterfinals, Jhanvi beat Mannat (11-2,11-4), Shreya got better of Yatiksha (11-5,11-6), Samridhi defeated Meghna Jain (6-11, 13-11, 11-9), Archita Kesar trounced Bhavya Rakwal (11-9,11-9), Ashmeet outplayed Youguni (11-4,11-6), Iknoor thrashed Radhika (11-4,11-8), Simran outclassed Kavya (11-3,11-3) and Shreya Gupta got better of Jasjeet (11-6,11-8).
In cadet boys quarterfinals, Anant Rohmetra thrashed Akhilesh (6-11, 11-7, 11-6), Ansh Gupta beat Mahi (11-9, 12-10), Sudikshan drubbed Shivaik Goel (10-12, 13-11, 12-10) and Hanumant toppled Divyansh (11-7, 9-11, 11-7).
