JAMMU, June. 9: Jammu Cricket Club, Simula Cricket Club and National Cricket Club have entered into the semifinals of Simula T20 Super League and the semifinals will be played tomorrow after the match between KCCC and LCC to be played early at GGM Science College Hostel, ground here.
The Super Cricket league in which 10 premier teams namely JCC, NCC, Simula,Shastri, RCC, J&K Sports Promoters Club, KCCC, KC Sports Club, Singh Club and Laxmi CC are participating, is being organized by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association. The organizing committee headed by Hilal Rather, MD Simula Group, while the committee members include Desh Rattan Dubey, Joint Secretary JKCA, Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA, Anshuman Sharma, Mohit Puri, Atul, Vivek Thapa, Vikram Singh, Shashi, Beant Singh and Vishal. Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player is the Coordinator of the event.
Today in first match, Singh Cricket Club defeated Shastri Club by runs.
Batting first, Shastri Club scored 101 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 16 overs. Vishal (38) and Chander (17) were the main contributors.
From Singh Club, Sunil scalped 3 wickets, Sham took 2, while Sonu, Rajinder and Nadeem claimed 1 wicket each.
Singh Cricket Club, in reply, achieved the target in 15.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Chandan and Tayyab scored 26 each while Manish made 17 runs.
From Shastri CC, Sawant took 2 wickets while Anchal, Arvind and Sachin claimed 1 wicket each. Tayyab was adjudged as man of the match and was awarded with Rs.1000 as cash prize.
In the second match, JCC defeated Simula by 35 runs.
Batting first, JCC scored 112 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 18 overs. Shubam Pundir (35) , Vishwajeet Singh (24) and Rohan Koul (12) were the main scorers.
From Simula, Raman Dutta took 4 wickets, Hilal Rather bagged 2 wickets, while Manzoor Dar and Mohit shared 1 wicket each.
Simula, in reply, scored 77 runs for the loss of 7 wickets to lose the match by 35 runs. Raman Dutta, Shashi and Puneet contributed 20, 13 and 12 runs respectively.
From JCC, Deepak Dogra took 3 wickets. Rahil bagged 2 wickets, while Vishwajeet and Yudhveer shared 1 wicket each. Deepak Dogra was adjudged as man of the match and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs.1000.
In another match NCC defeated J&K Sports Promoters club by 37 runs.
Batting first, NCC scored 150 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 18 overs. Amritpal Singh scored brilliant 53 runs, while Manish Dogra also contributed valuable 50 runs to the total.
From bowling side, Abhinav took 3 wickets, while Farooq, Ramandeep and RK Bhat claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, J&K Sports Promoters Club made 113 runs. AbhinavPuri top scored with 67 runs, while Farooq (15) and Lakhan (12) were the other contributors. Sahil took 3 wickets, while Tanmay and Inderjeet claimed 2 wickets each. Amritpal Singh was adjudged as man of the match.
The first semifinal will be played at 10 am and the second at 12.30 pm.
