Sena concerned over traffic mess in city

JAMMU, Dec 2: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has expressed concern over the deteriorating traffic system in Jammu and has urged upon traffic cops deployed on roads to focus on traffic improvement rather than completing Challan works.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said that traffic jams are seen throughout the day at every main road of Jammu city while traffic cops come to action only during some VIP movement.
He said that those who violate the rules should face Challan but for traffic jams the concerned traffic cops should be held accountable.
“Overloading of mini-buses is going on without any check,” Sahni maintained adding: “Traffic Police should increase cops on roads to improve the traffic system.”
He offered Shiv Sena volunteers to assist traffic cops during peak hours to improve the traffic system.
Meenakshi Chhibber, Shiv Sena general secretary; Vikas Bakshi, vice president; Sanjeev Kohli, secretary youth and Rajesh Handa were also present on the occasion.
