Senior citizens

Sir,
The present scenario in the society is encouraging negative tendencies and energies towards the elderly people. Looking after and taking care of senior citizens is now an old ‘tale.
In the present times, we have no time to look after our old people. We have forgotten our values once deep rooted in our social fabric.
We do not interact with these people and I think to be interactive with them at this advanced stage is very important leaving aside our day to day work schedule.
Health issues in advanced age need to be taken into account and cooperation of the family becomes urgent at advanced stage of life. The feeling of loneliness is a matter of concern for them. It is our duty to keep them happy and try to please them and throw gratitude for the unlimited love and care they have showered on us in our childhood.
The home atmosphere need to be healthy and should be maintained in such a way that our elders feel happy, healthy and  balanced.
Every need of the elderly people  be attended to with a positive approach. Our old and rich tradition should be carried forward to preserve our culture and its tradition.
Yours etc….
