SRINAGAR, Sept 19: The J&K Taekwondo Association is set to conduct the Senior J&K UT Taekwondo Selection Trials (Kyorugi/Poomsae) 2024-25 on September 29, at the JKSC Gindun Sports Complex, Rajbagh, Srinagar.
This selection event is being held under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and with support from the J&K Sports Council. Open to men and women aged 17 and above, participants must hold a Kukkiwon 1st DAN Black Belt, be registered with TFI and JKTA, and possess a valid JKTA Athlete License to compete. No entries will be accepted without these credentials.
The trials will determine the athletes who will represent J&K Union Territory in the 40th National Senior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships and the 13th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships, scheduled to take place from October 17 to 20, at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Puducherry.
All participants are required to report for weigh-in at the Indoor Hall, Polo Ground, Srinagar on September 28, at 2:00 PM, along with completed registration forms and necessary documents, including the Dan Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Aadhar Card, JKTA License and a Date of Birth certificate. The selection trials were finalized during a meeting chaired by Rajesh Pangotra, President of the J&K Taekwondo Association.
