Sir,
This has reference to the two day seminar of Muslim Rashtriya Manch recently held in Jammu. As reported the seminar was attended in delegates from different states. It has been a laudable attempt on the part of saner elements of civil society to focus on sensitizing Muslim Community which forms sizable chunck of Indian society with a view to understand the basic problems of Muslim community and their vital role in nation building.
The country at this point of time is passing through a difficult phase. Top brass of the Govt is embroiled in corruption from toe to head. There is serious crisis of credibility vis-a-vis the politicians irrespective of their affiliations people find themselves on cross roads unsure of the right path to tread on for national integration and profound prosperity with the participation of all segments of society. The unsavoury vote politics powered by highly inflammable policy of appeasement is proving to be excessively destructive in consequence there of the divisive forces are getting strengthened and weakening the social fabric. All major components of Indian society are pitted against each other in a state of mutual scare and threat. Minority feeling and individual identity of the ethnic/caste group is carefully nursed and kept alive to draw maximum political mileage.
As of now we have around 25 crores of Muslims in India who are well knit and organized as a community. They are inalienable part of the Indian society and do have significant role in making the country healthy, wealthy and comprehensively stable to make a mark on world horizon. They have deep roots in Indian soil with established filial obligations. Unfortunately no attempt has been made to facilitate their merger into the national main stream through educated and sustained social interaction. This has remained a major lacuna in our national approach as a sequel to which trans border inimical forces and the opportunist politicians have left no stone unturned to exploit Muslim Community in the name of minority and misplaced secularism.
It is therefore, crying need of the hour that Muslim Community with substantial presence should move closer to the nucleus of nationalism. It is good thinking on the part of activists of Muslim Rashtriya Manch to launch such a movement which deserved full support from the rank and file.
Yours etc….
