JAMMU, Apr 1: Services defeat J&K by seven wickets and 20 balls to spare in the North Zone T20 Tournament for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here today.
J&K won the toss and elected to bat. Their innings folded at 91 in 18.4 overs. Samiullah Beig was their top scorer with 24. IR Singh (13), AN Reshi (13), AG Ahanger (12) and VC Dogra (16) were their other main scorers.
Shadab Nazar bowled intelligently to claim 4 wickets for 13. He got full support from AS Sakuja (2 for 14) and AR Sinha (2 for 23).
Services achieved the victory target with ease as they took 16.4 overs to reply with 93 for 3. Rajat Paliwal remained not out on 29 which contained four boundaries. Nakul Verma (19), Yashpal Singh (17) and Anshul Gupta (25) were Services other batsmen to make their contribution in Services win.
AG Ahanger bagged 2 for 23 for J&K.
