JAMMU, July 9: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president, along with Vijay Sabarwal, president Parade Sports Association and Adv Rajesh Jaitly member Association inaugurated the 1st J&K T10 Cricket State Tournament at Parade Ground, Jammu. The tournament was organized in memory of Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
The inauguration ceremony saw a large gathering of cricket enthusiasts, local dignitaries, and community members who came together to honour the legacy of Mukherjee. The seven days tournament was organized by Sandeep Dogra, Convenor Ward 15.
Yudhvir Sethi emphasized the importance of sports in fostering unity, discipline and healthy competition among the youth. He lauded the organizers for their initiative to commemorate Mukherjee’s contributions through a sports event, highlighting how such tournaments can inspire young talent and bring communities closer.
The J&K T10 Cricket State Tournament features teams from various districts across the J&K, competing for the coveted trophy. The tournament aims to provide a competitive yet enjoyable experience for players while promoting the spirit of sportsmanship. Yudhvir Sethi also interacted with the young cricketers, offering words of encouragement and advice. He stressed the importance of dedication, hard work, and fair play in achieving success, both on and off the field.
