KISHTWAR, May 9: Police restored to tear gas shelling when a group of farmers allegedly started stone pelting in which several persons including 3 police personals received minor injuries.
As per reports, there is a dispute between locals and NHPC over a piece of land in NHPC Colony Semina.
ADC Kishtwar along with police team reached the spot to execute the eviction order by District Magistrate, to which local farmers objected and turned violent and started stone pelting.
To control the situation, police used mild force and tear gas shells. During the clash, several people including three police personals sustained injuries.
All the injured persons received minor injuries.
Kishtwar police has taken cognizance in this regard.
