POONCH, Sept 15: A teenage girl student has accused a school teacher of sexually harassing her after which a panel to probe the allegation was constituted.
Official sources said a 9th class girl student of Govt Higher Secondary School, Sheesh Mahal Poonch complained to the School Principal, that a teacher from the other community is sexually harassing her for the last few days. Acting on the complaint, the school Principal wrote to Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch, Lal Hussain. The CEO constituted a probe panel consisting of two principals to probe the allegations.
When contacted the CEO said that he received a report from school Principal regarding the allegations of sexual harassment. “I have constituted a team consisting of two school principals,” he said.
The sources further revealed that no case has been registered formally in this regard with police.
