UDHAMPUR, Jan 2: State Football Academy (SFA) on its mission to reach and promote professional football in all districts of the State, launched its Unit in an impressive function, here today.
The trials for the district saw a great response with more than 250 players participating to be part of the first professional academy of the state. Out of which 60 boys were picked up in various age groups.
These boys will undergo professional and modern training which SFA maintains and monitors in all its districts.
Moreover, they will be given a chance to show their talents by giving them exposure at high level competition like I-league and state league.
The SFA is headed by star International player, Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo, Sajid Dar as Technical Director and Satpal Singh as Head Coach.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were chief guest, SSP Udhampur, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Secretary Sports Council, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra, Joint Secretary Sports Council Jammu,Shiv Kumar Sharma and Member Sports Council from Udhampur, Rahul Gupta.
With the launch of this unit SFA has established its presence in almost all districts of the state which is the primary goal for its conquest of making the state a modern developed football powerhouse.
The Academy is registered with J&K Football Association and All India Football Federation.
