SRINAGAR, July 23: In the ongoing State Annual League Football tournament, two matches were played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here.
In the 1st match of Super Division, Al-Bilal FC held Young Iqbal FC to (1-1) draw.
The second match of Premier Division was played between Novelty Football Club and State Football Academy (SFA).
In the 10th minute of the first half, SFA boys made an excellent wall pass move and Towseef made no mistake in netting the ball. Novelty FC consolidated their position after an early collapse and made some good moves but could not score due to poor finish. The half time score was 1-0 in favour of SFA. SFA boys again dominated in the second half which resulted in a fine goal scored by Suhail in the 56th minute of the second half. SFA boys tried to maintain the lead & consolidated their defence. Both the teams played quality football and ultimately SFA defeated Novelty FC by 2 goals to NIL
Meanwhile, three matches of Senior/Junior Division were also played at Polo Ground West.
In the first match, United FC HMT defeated Ali Jana FC by three goals to two, while in the second match, Valley FC Palpora defeated Hazratball FC by five goals to one (5-1).
In the third match of Senior Division, Court Road FC and SFA Blue drew the match and scored 2-2 goal each.
The tournament is being organized by the District Football Association Srinagar, Medical Partner Rahim Green and Football Sponsor Sports International (VECTOR).
