SGGJ Model School students bring laurels

JAMMU, Aug 8: The students of SGGJ Model School, Sunderbani, Rajouri brought laurels to the State by winning overall championship in the 3rd International Festival of Bio-Technology Quest 2013 held at City Montessori School, Lucknow, recently.
Earlier, the Quest was inaugurated by Abhishek Mishra, Minister for Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh.
Over 600 students from Russia, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and various States of India participated in this festival.
SGGJ Model School team which participated in the event comprised of Anuj Raina, Ankush Sharma, Aman Sharma, Aniket Sharma and Suksham Raina, who were headed by team leader MK Bhan, Principal/Director.
Themes presented by the students were based on water crisis and how to make practical and effective use of Science for the basic needs, creativity and world unity.
Aniket Sharma bagged first position in conception (creative writing), Suksham Raina claimed second position in Transom (Theme Presentation), while the over all trophy was presented to the School in an impressive Prize Distribution Function at CMS Convention Centre, Lucknow by the chief guest Anup Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Rashmi Yadav, guest of honour and the founder manager of CMS, Lucknow, Dr Jagdish Gandhi.
