Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament concludes

budgam, Dec 7: Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament 2014-15, which was organized by District Police Budgam and Sheikh-ul-Alam Sports Organization Budgam, concluded today as final match was played between Master’s XI Ompora and YCC Parimpora at Sports Stadium Budgam in central Kashmir.
The tournament was won by Master’s XI Ompora with a narrow margin of 3 runs after a nail biting finish between the two teams.
A police spokesman said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) SJM. Gillani was the Chief Guest on the occasion. “Deputy Inspector General Central Kashmir Range Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Deputy Commisioner Budgam Altaf Ahmad, Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam, Fayaz Ahmad Lone and other district officers were also present during the cricket match,” he said. The IGP Kashmir later distributed awards among the players and presented the trophy to the winning team.
During his address on the occasion, the IGP expressed full support in developing the sporting talent of the youth of the district. “He also assured all the necessary help needed by the district administration in nurturing the sportsmanship of the youth.  In his address, IGP Kashmir complemented the district police for organizing the tournament. He said that police will continue to support in developing the supports talent of the youth in the valley and all necessary support will be provided in this regard,” the spokesman added.
