JAMMU, Apr 27: Defeating their rivals in the semifinal clashes, Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial Volleyball Club Poonch and Core Madras have qualified for the finals of the Late Karan Singh Memorial Tournament, being organized by Volleyball Club Muthi at Government Higher Secondary School, Muthi today.
Now, the summit clash between the two will be held at the same venue at 4 pm tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club drubbed 157 TA in three straight sets (3-0) by (25-13, 25-18 and 25-13), while in the second semifinal, Core Madras got better of Volleyball Club Pallanwala by three sets to two (3-2) by (25-17,25-16, 17-25, 23-25 and 15-11).
The matches were officiated by Amarjeet Singh, Rajesh Virdhi and M P Ed and B P Ed students of Jammu University.
