POONCH, May 10: Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club registered (3-0) victory over Pintu Club Poonch in the summit clash of Volleyball Tournament, organized by Range Police Headquarters Rajouri at Government Degree College Ground, here today.
In all, 6 teams of the district participated in the Tournament.
The Tournament was conducted by the officials of District Youth and Sports Office Poonch and the officiating panel included Neeraj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Davinder Singh and Rajinder Singh.
Tariq Khan, convener of Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club coordinated the event.
SP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony.
A cash prize of Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,000 was given to winner and runners-up team respectively, while Rs1000 was presented to the best player of the Tournament, Saqleen Tariq, besides the distribution of winners and runners-up trophies.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included ASP Poonch, Amit Gupta; DySP DAR, Khalid Amin; Deepak Digra-DySP Hqrs Poonch; S Amar Singh Josh, Pir Nissar Shah and Pardeep Khanna.
