Shaheen exhorts youth to be ambassadors of change

RAMBAN, Dec 21: Envisioning crucial role for youth to steering Jammu and Kashmir out of the present morass, National Conference (NC) leader and district president, Ramban Sajjad Shaheen today said that the people feel dejected and let down by abject failure of the present regime on every front.
Shaheen called upon the youth to become agents of change and said that the State is passing through very difficult times as the youth of the erstwhile State are being pushed against the wall and it is the youth who have an important and a valuable role to play in addressing some of the most significant and inter related challenges faced by the people.
The NC leader was addressing a youth during the inaugural ceremony of a cricket tournament held at a remote village Panla, Maligam in Banihal constituency. He said that the wrong policies of the present dispensation have brought the State at the volatile cross roads of history where nothing is visible except hopelessness, uncertainty and fear.
The District President said that the youth of district Ramban is blessed with a lot of potential and talent which needs to be properly groomed so that they can compete at national and international level for which the stakeholders have to play a key role in not only identifying such talent but help in achieving the objective of overall development of youngsters.
Shaheen was accompanied by Zonal vice president Riyaz Ahmed Mir, Block presidents Ramsoo, Pogal- Maligam and Ukharhal Nisar Ahmed Sohil, Shakib ur Rahman Runyal and Mohd Imtiaz Mughal, besides Bahar Ahmed Naik, Mujeeb ur Rahman Ganai, Block president ST cell Chodhary Mahboob Ilahi, Chodhary Rahim Din, Haji Qasim and others.
